The service
Terse is a local-first email client and management layer for macOS. It connects to services you select, including email and optional AI providers. Terse is not an email provider, does not host your mailbox, and does not guarantee the availability of third-party services.
Your accounts and choices
You are responsible for the accounts you connect, for keeping your Mac and provider accounts secure, and for reviewing actions before confirming them. You must have the right to access and process any account or content used with Terse.
Provider terms—including Google’s terms—continue to apply. You may not use Terse to violate law, infringe rights, bypass provider safeguards, distribute malware, send abuse or spam, or gain unauthorized access to another person’s account or data.
Email and AI output
AI-generated classifications, summaries, suggestions, and drafts may be incomplete or wrong. Review important facts, recipients, attachments, dates, and wording before relying on them.
AI and browser agents may prepare a draft but cannot activate Send or Schedule. You remain responsible for anything you choose to send and for mailbox actions you confirm.
Software and updates
Subject to any separate license supplied with a release, Terse grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the application for its intended purpose. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may provide updates for security, compatibility, or product improvement.
Do not attempt to defeat access controls, extract other users’ credentials, interfere with the service, or misrepresent an affiliation with Terse.
Third-party services
Google, other mail providers, AI providers, Apple, and Cloudflare are independent services. Their products, policies, limits, and availability are outside our control. Connecting or invoking one of those services authorizes Terse to communicate with it only as described in our Privacy Notice.
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Terse is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free AI output, or delivery of any message. You should keep appropriate backups and verify consequential actions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Terse will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from use of the service or third-party providers. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Ending use and changes
You may stop using Terse at any time, disconnect provider accounts, revoke OAuth access, and remove local application data. We may restrict use that creates security, legal, or abuse risk.
We may update these terms. The date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, to the extent permitted by law.
